Remember, 5-10 minutes is all it takes for heatstroke to be fatal for your pet! Don't leave your pets in the car in warm weather!

'Tis the Season to Warm Your House Safely!
More home fires occur during the cold winter months than any other time of year. Here are some tips to make sure you and your loved ones are both warm and safe as you use space heaters this holiday season.
- Plug space heaters directly into a wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord or power strip, which could overheat.
- Heaters must be kept at least 3 feet away from anything that can burn, such as paper, clothing, rugs and furniture.
- Do not allow pets or children play too close to the space heater.
- Make sure you have working smoke alarms.

Please Water Your Live Tree...So We Don't Have To!
Did you know safety never takes a holiday? See below for some tips on keeping your home safe (and decorated!) this holiday season!
- Always turn Christmas lights out before leaving your home or going to bed.
- Keep trees away from heat sources like radiators, fireplaces, and space heaters.
- Keep your live tree hydrated! Check the tree stand water level every day, and make sure the water level covers the tree stem not less than 2 inches.
- Dispose of your tree immediately after the season ends and before the needles dry out.
