Make Fire Safety Part of Your New Year's Resolution!

Make Fire Safety Part of Your New Year's Resolution!
Many people are starting off the New Year with a resolution to improve their lives. As you work toward your resolutions, consider one additional step to maintain your safety: Fire Prevention!
Resolution #1:
Create a Safety Plan with your household. Practice evacuation drills, establish a family meeting place, and understand how to call 911.
Resolution #2:
Have an Emergency Kit that includes essentials such as water, non-perishable food, medications, flashlight, first aid supplies, and important documents.
Resolution #3:
Take a First Aid CPR/AED class. Equipping yourself with these invaluable skills not only enhances your preparedness but also contributes to building a stronger, more resilient community.
Stay safe, stay prepared, and let's make 2025 a year to remember for ALL the Right Reasons.
Cold weather and wind and ice...OH MY! Are you ready for the roads?

Historically, March has been the snowiest month in Elizabeth. Let's prepare and stay safe together!
Driving in winter weather conditions can be hazardous. Below are some tips on how to stay safe if you must be on the roads!
- Time! Plan ahead and give yourself extra time to reach your destination.
- Proper Distance! Keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you.
- Lights On! Be visible to everyone on the roads by using your lights, even during the daytime.
- Never Drive Around Barricades! A "Road Closed" sign means the road is closed for your safety. Do not move or drive around signs or barricades closing a road.
- Vehicle Maintenance! Ensure tires, windshield wiper blades, lights, heater, and other components of your vehicle are in working order.
